A Romantic Mediterranean Honeymoon

Honeymoon Part II

For our honeymoon my husband and I traveled on the Emerald Princess for a 12 day Cruise to the Greek Isles & Mediterranean - Rome to Venice!! It was by far the best way to experience the most magical and beautiful places in Europe...not to mention all on the American Dollar.

We spent 2 nights in Rome before the cruise and actually saw all of it's wonders in one full day! Then it was off to the port to start our journey!

The Emerald Princess was magnificent, the crew impeccable, and the romance factor was a 10! There were many memorable events that occurred during this trip but there are two that stand out. We had been sailing all night and when we awoke we found out our window a glistening golden MONTE CARLO! We stepped onto our balcony and marveled at the beauty! It was the first of the ports and it was the most spectacular way to start our honeymoon. The other was when we sailed down the famous Venice Grand Canal! The sun was setting as the entire ship was out on verandas, and decks, waving to people on boats passing by and the crowds on the shore. We felt like characters out of some Italian love story!
